Privacy policy

Therapy Blogs provides done-for-you content publishing for licensed professionals. This policy describes what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it the way we write everything else — plainly.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, work email, practice name, city, and website URL.
  • License details: your license type, number, and state. We collect these for one purpose — verifying your license against the issuing board's public registry and generating your disclosure footer.
  • Voice and values profile: the niches, frameworks, and preferences you give us at onboarding, plus any writing samples you choose to share and the edits you make to drafts — used solely to model your writing style. Do not include client or patient information in writing samples or topic requests; the service is not built to receive it.
  • Billing details: payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Publishing credentials: if you connect your site, your publishing credentials are encrypted at rest and used only server-side to publish posts you have approved. They are never exposed to the browser.
  • Usage and error data: standard logs and error reports that help us keep the service working.
  • Analytics and advertising data: if you arrive from one of our ads, standard web-analytics identifiers (such as a Meta advertising cookie) record that visit and whether it led to a signup. We never send your name, email, license details, or specialties to advertising platforms.

What we do with it

We verify your license against public records (automatically against the California registry; against your state board's public lookup elsewhere), re-verify it on a recurring basis, draft and stage your content, and publish to your site when you approve. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use your client or patient data — the service is not designed to receive it.

Who processes it

We use a small set of providers to run the service: database and authentication hosting, web hosting, transactional email, error monitoring, payment processing, and AI language-model providers that draft and edit content on our instructions under terms that do not permit training on your data. Each processes data only to provide the service. Your license number is checked against the issuing board's registry; that check is a lookup of public records.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, your published posts remain on your site — they were always yours. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by emailing us, and we will remove it within 30 days, except records we need to keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

You can access, correct, or delete your information by writing to us. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect, to correct it, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights. The lists above are that disclosure.
